Oxford University Press East Africa invites teachers, learners, parents, and book lovers to visit our stand during the Meru Regional Book Fair 2026 for an exciting educational experience filled with learning, engagement, reading activities, and exclusive offers.
This year’s fair brings together schools, publishers, teachers, and learners under the theme “Read. Think. Lead.” As part of the event, Oxford will showcase a wide range of curriculum support materials, dictionaries, readers, revision books, CBC resources, and exciting learner engagement activities designed to promote literacy, creativity, and confidence among learners.
One of the highlights at our stand will be the Oxford Shairi Recital Challenge, where schools and classes will have the opportunity to recite specially prepared shairi and stand a chance to win exciting gifts.

Teachers are encouraged to download the Oxford shairi below (for pre-school and junior school), practise with their learners, and visit our stand during the bookfair for a live recital presentation.
Participating classes stand a chance to win exciting gifts while helping learners improve confidence, pronunciation, teamwork, memorisation, and public speaking skills in a fun and engaging environment.
